This week on Searcys Insider – The Illustrated Platinum Jubilee launch at The Reform Club
The Platinum Jubilee is fast approaching and tributes to Her Majesty and her 70 years on the Throne are flying in. One of the most notable Jubilee launches of the season was the Platinum Jubilee edition of The Illustrated; published by Illustrated London News in collaboration with the Royal Warrant Holders Association (RWHA) and QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) in which Searcys had the honour of an entry.
The Illustrated London News has a long and colourful history, this pioneering publication was the world’s first illustrated weekly newspaper in the world, launched in 1842 and as result, it holds one of the richest magazine archives. The publication has fantastic articles and pictures showcasing Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years on the throne and includes rare material from the ILN archive, as well as a feature on what it means to be a Royal Warrant holder today. The publication is now available throughout the U.K. and a few overseas markets (U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe) with a print run of 47,000. A charitable donation to QEST will be made for every copy sold, supporting the training of British craftsmen and
The Illustrated Platinum Jubilee Edition The launch of the edition took place in the amazing Reform Club in Pall Mall, where the Searcys Insider rubbed shoulders with some of the most iconic British businesses.
