Searcys are looking for a Chef De Partie to join the team at the our unique Venue at The Gherkin. 

Working as a Chef De Partie for Searcys will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will not only support the Sous/Head Chef in the day to day running of the venue but also act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade. You will work collaboratively with both the kitchen and front of house team to deliver bespoke events and restaurant service whilst creating food that honours the seasons and celebrates local produce. 

The Gherkin is one of London's most iconic landmark restaurants and events spaces. Pair high-end design with vintage champagne and contemporary cooking, all while enjoying panoramic views of The City of London and beyond.

We are looking for personable individuals to join our Kitchen Brigade as Chef de Partie. You will work across a number of different events including conference and banqueting, fine dining restaurant and weddings. You will get a chance to be creative and work with the finest ingredients and with a team that will nurture you for the future.

Job Type: Full Time

Annual Salary: up to £36,000

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide food/service to a consistent high standard, including assisting senior chefs with functions in other different areas throughout the business.
  • Responsible to manage stock levels of the section you are overseeing including ordering when required.
  • Ensure the presentation of the food is consistent with the standards set by senior chefs.
  • To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to
  • Any other reasonable request by the Senior Management.
  • Very well organised and ability to prioritise work load
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent standards
  • Experience in working in a 5 star hotel or Michelin star restaurant is desirable
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
