  • Searcys Raises over £10,000 for charity

    19 February 2024

The numbers are in and we at Searcys are thrilled to share that thanks to the incredible support from our guests and Searcys teams, we have raised over £10,000 through our festive campaign at our Restaurants, Champagne Bars, and Brasseries spread across London and Bath.

Our collective efforts have made a real difference, with donations reaching several charities close to our hearts in the communities where we work:

116 Pall Mall for Crisis UK – £2,101: Crisis UK is all about making a difference in the lives of people experiencing homelessness. They don’t just provide shelter; they strive for real change and solutions.

“Your donation of £2,101 has allowed us to provide essential support to people facing homelessness through the Crisis at Christmas appeal. This includes helping with a safe place to stay, supplying hot meals and a Christmas dinner, and support to transition out of homelessness permanently. With your contribution, you’ve effectively sponsored 70 ‘gifts,’ enabling more people to embark on a journey towards a life beyond homelessness. Your support is truly remarkable and greatly appreciated.”

Georgina Evans – Head of Retail, Crisis UK

Searcys at St Pancras for the Railway Children – £4,051: Railway Children is a champion for vulnerable children, offering support and safety for those alone and at risk.

“The amount will fund one of our London projects for a month and support the project workers, who act as the trusted and caring adults that vulnerable young people so often need, dedicating time to help them overcome their early life experiences, reduce harm, and build a support network around them for the future. This often involves work with parents, carers, Local Authorities, schools, and youth groups to ensure positive changes can be sustained. Your support means that so many more children will have that person fighting their corner and being there for them when they need it most.”

Jack Miller – Group Director of Fundraising & Marketing

Searcys at The Gherkin and Searcys at the Barbican for New Horizon Youth Centre –  £1,786: New Horizon Youth Centre is a lifeline for young Londoners pushed into homelessness, offering a range of crucial support services.

“Last year we worked with over 1100 young people, delivered 2,456 housing advice appointments which helped to place 211 young people in emergency accommodation and moved 171 young people into longer term accommodation. It’s thanks to the generosity of our supporters like Searcys, that we’re able to continue to support any young person that needs us.”

Lucy Nichols – Corporate Partnerships Manager

Searcys at Battersea for Prince’s Trust – £1,272: The Prince’s Trust is committed to empowering young individuals to achieve their dreams, regardless of the challenges they face.

On average it costs £1,200 to support a young person through their full journey here at The Prince’s Trust, which means Searcys and their donation of £1,272 have just changed the life of a young person for the better. Helping them to get back into Education and training or take that vital next step in their career. By partnering with The Prince’s Trust, Searcys has demonstrated its commitment to supporting young people in the UK to help them build a better future for themselves. “

Bryony Shaw – Business Development Manager, The Prince’s Trust

The Pump Room for Julian House in Bath – £2,089: Julian House, our Bath-based charity, provides essential services for the homeless and vulnerable across the South West.

In total, our combined efforts have amounted to an incredible £11,299! We are immensely grateful for everyone who contributed and helped us support these vital causes.
