The Reading Room is a bright and airy space, with large windows that let in a wealth of natural light. Located overlooking The Mall, it offers some of the most stunning views of St James’ Park and Whitehall.
The room has a fascinating history as it was once the dining room of four-time British Prime Minister William Gladstone, who held cabinet meetings here. The room also features prints from Tom Phillips’ illustrated translation of Dante’s Inferno, adding an extra touch of unique style to the space. It is an ideal venue for holding meetings or drinks receptions and is often hired along with the adjoining Library.
