    Celebrate, discover and immerse yourself in unique experience this year at Searcys presents its 2025 calendar of ticketed events with the return of the Searcys Series. From champagne masterclasses, orchestral afternoon teas and dining experiences in historic settings, Searcys have all bases covered with an exciting programme of events that will weave unforgettable stories.

    January Dates

    Burns Night Celebration – The Pump Room Bath

    Price £120 per person

    Step back in time and celebrate Scotland’s beloved bard in the grandeur of the Roman Baths and Pump Room. On Saturday, 25 January 2025, the enchanting glow of torchlight will set the scene for an unforgettable Burns Night Celebration, blending tradition, elegance, and lively revelry. Begin your evening with a sparkling drinks reception, mingling around the historic Roman Baths, serenaded by the soulful tunes of John the Piper. Indulge in a sumptuous four-course Scottish feast, complete with the iconic haggis, perfectly paired with half a bottle of wine. Delight in the stirring recitals of Robert Burns’ timeless poetry, then take to the floor as the Ceilidh Tree Band leads a spirited session of Scottish dancing.     Champagne Tasting Experience At Battersea – Searcys Champagne Bar, Battersea Power Station

Enjoy a delightful masterclass led by our expert Head of Champagne Martin Dibben, featuring a curated selection of five different Cuvées that demonstrate the diversity of this world-famous sparkling wine. These are paired with delectable snacks. From beginners to connoisseurs, this informative, inspiring, and exciting experience will unravel the secrets behind Champagne and the people that make it, taking your tasting skills to the next level.

    The Art of Champagne, Masterclass and Tour – A Celebration for Love – The Portrait Restaurant, National Portrait Gallery

    Price £85 per person

    This Valentine’s weekend spend an exclusive morning at the National Portrait Gallery and The Portrait Restaurant celebrating love and romance.  Begin your morning with an exclusive out-of-hours guided tour of the Gallery by Senior Storyteller, Daniel Hausherr, focusing on tales of great romances that feature in the Gallery’s Collection. After the tour, head upstairs to The Portrait Restaurant for a Champagne Masterclass hosted by Martin Dibben, Searcys’ Master of Champagne. The tasting will include five Champagnes, created with love by houses that are connected by their shared dedication to winemaking. These include Maison Perrier-Jouët, Maison Canard-Duchêne and Maison Laurent-Perrier. Champagne symbolises love, purity and celebration making it the perfect pairing for Valentine’s celebration.

    Champagne Masterclass Dinner: “The Grand Siècle Tasting”  – Searcys at The Gherkin

    Price £135 per person

    Indulge in a captivating evening of Champagne excellence with a dinner to celebrate “the Grand Siècle”, the prestige cuvée of the House of Laurent-Perrier. The dinner takes place in a private room amidst the breathtaking backdrop of The Gherkin’s panoramic views over London. Delight your senses with a three-course pairing dinner meticulously curated to complement four cuvées that demonstrate the importance of assemblage in creating this exception champagne including the Grand Siècle Iteration 26 and Grand Siècle Iteration 25 in   magnum.  We are delighted to welcome David Hesketh, Master of Wine, to introduce the wines. David was previously the MD of Champagne Laurent-Perrier and now has become the Ambassador for the Grand Siècle. This dining experience promises to be a spectacular evening celebrating one of the very best of Champagnes in the world.

We also celebrate contemporary leaders such as Vitalie Taittinger, the visionary president of Champagne Taittinger, and Carol Duval-Leroy, who has elevated Champagne Duval-Leroy to new heights.     Begin your morning with an exclusive out-of-hours, guided tour of the gallery by Daniel Hausherr, Senior Storyteller, focusing on some of our portraits containing royalty from around the world within the gallery’s paintings. This will be followed by a Champagne tasting from Searcys Head of Champagne in the Portrait restaurant. Champagne, the sparkling wine from France’s Champagne region, has long been associated with royalty and luxury. Its effervescence and elegance made it the drink of choice for queens, kings, emperors, and tsars. The tradition began in the 17th century when French kings were crowned in Reims, near the Champagne vineyards, and celebrated with the local wine. Champagne’s association with royalty continues today, with its presence at state banquets, royal weddings, and other prestigious events, making it a timeless emblem of celebration and sophistication. Enjoy five cuvées that have associations with Royalty from past and current centuries.

    The Art of Champagne Masterclass and Tour: Women of Influence – The Portrait Restaurant, National Portrait Gallery

    Price £85 per person

    Begin your morning with an exclusive out-of-hours, guided tour of the gallery by Daniel Hausherr, focusing on some extraordinary women who have had significant influence on the world past and present. This will be followed by a Champagne tasting from Searcys Head of Champagne in the Portrait restaurant looking at women both past and present who have had great influence on the development of Champagne. Enjoy five Cuvées that are associated with women from over three centuries from Veuve Cliquot, who created the first vintage and rosé wine to Charlene Drappier, who today champions the sustainability of Champagne production with some of their cuvée created from historic grapes.

    August Dates

    Icons of Britain: Sparking Wine Masterclass and Tour – The Portrait Restaurant, National Portrait Gallery

    Price £85 per person

    Begin your morning with an exclusive out-of-hours, guided tour of the gallery by Daniel Hausherr, focusing on some notable works of art created by British painters over the centuries. This will be followed by a tasting from Searcys Head of Champagne, in the Portrait restaurant of some of the best British Sparkling Wines. English sparkling wine has a rich history, with the first vines planted by the Romans and later revived in the 20th century. Today, we celebrate exceptional producers like Gusbourne, which planted its first vines in Kent in 2004, Bolney Wine Estate, established in Sussex in 1972 and Louis Pommery, a newer venture blending French expertise with English terroir. These wineries have elevated British sparkling wine to international acclaim, offering a delightful array of flavours and styles for us to enjoy.
