Searcys 175 Charity Pledge supports City Harvest London

Our £175k charity pledge has been made possible only through the dedication and effort of hundreds of people in our business. At the end of December, closing the venue for Christmas break, our executive chef Mark Constable and Searcys team at The HAC helped London families with their Christmas meal by donating hundreds of Christmas puddings and mince pies, as well as 150 kg of potatoes, leaks, swedes, carrots, onions and mushrooms, with assorted ingredients. This was made possible through our partnership with the charity City Harvest London.

City Harvest was founded in 2014 by a group of people, who came together to address food waste and food poverty in the capital, forming London’s first food redistribution charity. It puts surplus food to good use in a sustainable way by delivering free food for over 1 million meals a month to 350+ charities, including; children’s programmes, food banks, refuges for women fleeing domestic violence and families fleeing war-torn countries, and local groups across London welcoming the elderly and isolated.
