Searcys Donates £1,740 to the Julian House Charity4 March 2022
To mark our 175th birthday, Searcys launched its 175k Pledge to raise £175,000 for charitable causes in the communities we operate in. To kick off the initiative, our restaurant teams in London and at The Pump Room in Bath were fundraising for several local charities in December last year.
Last week, we presented our nominated charity from Bath, Julian House, with a cheque for £1,740 collected throughout December last year.
Julian House is a charity that supports over 1,800 vulnerable and at-risk individuals every year.
They operate more than 40 different projects, accommodation sites and social enterprises across South West England. These include homeless outreach services, a 20-bed emergency access hostel, various supported accommodation sites, including a domestic abuse refuge.
Cathy Adcock from Julian House says, “Julian House is delighted to be the benefiting charity from the Christmas donations from Searcys. As the uncertainty of the year ahead looms, this wonderful support could not have come at a better time. Over the next few months, we will continue to be quite stretched as we work to provide much-needed support for those affected by homelessness, domestic abuse and addiction, to name just a few reasons. This will make a real difference to many people’s lives.”
