    11 March 2024

EMBRACE THE EFFERVESCENT WITH SPARKLING CONVERSATION, SPARKLING WINE, AND COPIOUS CHAMPAGNE: 5 REASONS WHY THE SEARCYS BUBBLY SHOW 2024 IS NOT TO BE MISSED

On Friday 26th April and Saturday 27th April, The Bubbly Show by Searcys is back with a bang as it returns to {10-11} Carlton House Terrace for a two-day extravaganza of all things Champagne and English Sparkling Wine. But what is it that makes the Bubbly Show by Searcys the must-visit event of the year for Champagne connoisseurs, bubby aficionados, and those simply seeking a little sparkle this Spring?

Here are 5 reasons The Bubbly Show by Searcys 2024 is not to be missed:

    1. Meet distinguished Champagne Houses and English Sparkling Wine growers

This year Searcys Bubbly Show will welcome 16 Champagne houses, including Laurent Perrier, Gosset, Perrier-Jouët, Drappier, Palmer, Taittinger, and Pommery, and 10 English sparkling wine producers including Chapel Down, Silver Hand, Gusbourne, Greyfriars, and High Weald, to showcase their exceptional offerings. It is the chance to meet and speak with experts from some of the world’s most coveted Champagne houses and English sparkling wine producers, learning from their first-hand knowledge and asking all those questions you’ve always wanted to know but never had the opportunity to ask.

    2. Sample and sip on some of the world’s finest Champagne and English Sparkling Wine

It would not be a Bubbly Show without copious amounts of bubbles, and the Bubbly Show will offer a unique opportunity to sample some of the very best Champagne and English sparkling growers, all under one roof. Tickets, which start from £60 per person, include 10 tasting glasses of champagne and English sparkling wines, with additional light bites, and the option to upgrade the experience to include Afternoon Tea, Lunch or Dinner.

    3. Indulge in culinary delights for lunch, dinner and afternoon tea

It’s only right that exceptional Champagne be paired with exceptional food, and the Bubbly Show promises to deliver both with a range of delicacies to be enjoyed for lunch, dinner and, of course, afternoon tea.

Friday, 26th April dining options: Whilst the £60 standard tickets include access to the buffet station with a selection of tantalising light bites, for £115 guests can purchase an enhanced ticket which also offers a three-course lunch paired with Chapel Down English Sparkling wines and tutored by their winemaker. That evening you could also attend the “Belle Epoque Dinner”. Guests will be treated to a canapé reception, followed by a three-course dinner paired with the Perrier Jouët’s Prestige Cuvées, the Belle Epoque Brut 2014, Rosé 2013 and Blanc de Blancs 2012, for £175.

Saturday, 27th April dining options: Finally, it wouldn’t be Searcys without the iconic afternoon tea, and guests can enjoy a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, a selection of cakes and a glass of Searcys English Sparking Wine for the additional £45 per guest.

    4. Feed your mind with a plethora of tastings, talks, and masterclasses

There will also be a wide variety of talks and masterclasses to feed your mind throughout the two-day event, from some of the world’s leading experts in Champagne and English Sparkling Wine. Spearheaded by those in the know, talks include ‘Everything you want to know about Champagne’, an introduction to all things Champagne for beginners looking to impress with knowledge at their next soiree, ‘Battle of the Bubbles’, which will offer the chance to compare and contrast the bubbles either side of the Channel, and ‘The Grand Siècle’ presented by renowned Champagne house Laurent-Perrier’s Brand Ambassador David Hesket, as well as the session which will spotlight English Sparkling wine or delve into the world of grower Champagnes.

Talks will inspire, inform, and surprise visitors of all knowledge, abilities and backgrounds, and can be booked for £15 per talk.

    5. Drink in the stunning architecture and rich history of {10-11} Carlton House Terrace

What better way to enjoy some of the finest Champagne and English Sparkling Wine has to offer than in the backdrop of a spectacular Grade I listed Georgian Townhouse located in the heart of Westminster? With unrivalled views of St James’s Park, Whitehall and The Mall, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace is as rich in history as it is in grandeur. An iconic venue in the history of London, {10-11} Carlton House Terrace is the famed former residence of 1868 Prime Minister William Gladstone and home to the British Academy. The Bubbly Show by Searcys offers the chance to sip your way through its opulent rooms with its exquisite art, and drink in its architectural beauty and rich history.

But don’t just take our word for it, Professor Barry C Smith from the University of London, who has been researching the multisensory nature of perceptual experience, focusing on taste, smell and flavour, said:

“Champagne has always been a special wine combining the look, feel, sound and taste of it in an appealing, celebratory wine to drink before and during a meal.  Uniquely, at Searcy’s Bubbly Show you will have the chance to experience the aromas, flavours, and fizz of some of the finest Champagnes and English Sparkling Wines side by side. A wonderful tour of skilful winemaking.”
