The Roman Bath and Pump Room: Searcys Long Service Awards

We are so excited to congratulate the outstanding team members at The Roman Baths and Pump Room for their remarkable achievements and dedication to Searcys. It’s an honour to have such a talented and committed team, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them as part of our team. The Pump Room Searcys colleagues have celebrated 341 combined years of impeccable service at the venue.  Firstly, we want to highlight Food and Beverage Manager Dean Matthews, who has been an essential part of The Roman Baths and Pump Room for an incredible 38 years – a record for our company. Dean’s wealth of knowledge and expertise has been critical to the venue’s success, and his unwavering commitment to providing the best service is truly inspiring. Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Felix Salvador Dsouza has also contributed significantly to the team’s success, having been part of the venue for an amazing 13 years.

We also want to recognise General Manager Graham Plumb, who has dedicated 37 years to the venue. Graham’s leadership and guidance have been fundamental in driving the venue’s success, such as winning TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards in 2022, and his incredible commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer service is truly outstanding.

The team’s culinary talent is equally impressive. Head Chef Mark Anthony Pearson has been with the venue for 37 years, and his creativity, expertise, and passion for food have been evident in every dish he has created over the years. Daily five-star reviews are a testament to his talent, craft, and dedication.  Our Chef de Partie Sorin Horlae has dedicated six years to the venue’s operations, and Senior Chef de Partie Ashley Anderson has been showcasing his skill and talent for seven years.

Congratulations to our front-of-house team, who plays in delivering consistently excellent service, day in, day out. Members of our team Matthew Knowles and Anita McAlpine have dedicated astounding 35 and 31 years to the Roman Baths and Pump Room. Sally Stillman has been with the venue for 27 years, consistently going above and beyond to ensure customers have a wonderful visit. Katarzyna Kinga Trueman has dedicated 14 years to the venue’s front-of-house team, delivering unforgettable dining experiences for guests. Commis Waiting Staff member Jennifer Louise Loveridge has demonstrated brilliant talent in guaranteeing guests enjoy beautifully prepared food and service for 12 years, while Cecilia Glenys Paredes has dedicated 11 years to the business, always offering encouragement and support.  It is so impressive to have such a long-standing team and we are very proud to have them at The Roman Baths and Pump Room.

We also want to show our appreciation to our Restaurant Manager James Clifford – a true face of The Pump Room restaurant, who has dedicated 23 years to the venue, and Deputy Restaurant Manager Luke Cunningham, who has been with Searcys for 18 years. They have continuously provided crucial support to the restaurant team and ensured that customers always receive the very best service at the venue.

Finally, we want to acknowledge our wonderful Admin and HR Officer Carolyn Pearson-Brown, who has spent 28 years at The Roman Baths and Pump Room, providing vital support to the venue and its employees. Her hard work and dedication have helped ensure the smooth running of the venue’s operations across the years and contributed hugely to the continued tenure of staff.

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our long-service award winners, and we look forward to many more years of working together at The Roman Baths and Pump Room.
