We have just been awarded a Two Star Food Made Good rating by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) in recognition of our commitment to serve customers food that’s good in every way – delicious, ethical and sustainable.
Our sustainability pledges helped us achieve this excellent rating in a wide-ranging assessment of the whole business, from where it sources its ingredients to how it treats its staff and keeps a lid on its energy use.
The Food Made Good rating assesses all aspects of the business – everything that goes into making the food good, focussing on three main areas: Sourcing, Environment and Society. We will be working with the SRA over the next year to achieve a Three Star rating.
Andrew Stephen, Chief Executive of the SRA, said: “All our consumer research tells us that people want their dining experience to leave them with a good taste in the mouth, and not just because the food tastes good. Searcys is joining a growing group of restaurants that understand diners’ desire to indulge their passion for good food rather than check their principles in at the cloakroom.”
