Searcys launches their first ever afternoon tea at 116 Pall Mall and will support the first ever National Hospitality Day16 September 2021
As one of the UK’s oldest caterers, Searcys has been part of the UK hospitality scene for almost 175 years and is proud to help UK Hospitality celebrate the National Hospitality Day on 18 September. To support the event, Searcys and its new partner venue 116 Pall Mall will donate the profits of its inaugural afternoon tea on Saturday 18 September to National Hospitality Action Day and its charity partners, including Hospitality Action and Springboard.
The National Hospitality Day team said: “We are thrilled that Searcys has chosen to launch their first ever afternoon tea at 116 Pall Mall on the first ever National Hospitality Day. Hospitality can be a challenging industry to work in, so if you can “go out to help out” on September 18th please do. All profits from the brand new Confectioner’s Afternoon Tea will be donated to the coalition of charities behind National Hospitality Day so be sure to pay 116 Pall Mall a visit!”
Opening its doors to the public at the weekend for the first time, explore the history and opulence of one of Pall Mall’s most prestigious venues, before tucking into a host of sweet treats, from cakes to éclairs, all expertly paired with Champagne and live music.
The Confectioner’s Afternoon Tea is inspired by the company’s founder John Searcy, who started as a head confectioner to the Duke of Northumberland and catered to many residencies on Pall Mall.
