    9 February 2021

Despite the most testing of years, we are delighted to announce that Searcys has been appointed as the new catering partner for the prestigious London venue; the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

From May 2021, Searcys will commence providing hospitality services for the RCS for the next seven years. Expect seasonal menus, which celebrate the best of British and sustainable produce, along with expertly crafted wine and champagne lists, and high-quality service and events.

Searcys will oversee all catering, event sales and marketing operations whilst also looking after the event spaces and meeting rooms as well as the Café, Library and Members’ Lounge. Dating back to 1797, The RCS at Lincoln’s Inn Fields is home to over 25,000 members, and has undergone many transformations over the years, with a brand new venue opening in May 2021.

The conference and events venue – The View – offers panoramic views of the London landscape and is set to be the first event’s venue to launch in London this year. Opening ahead of summer, Searcys hopes to kick off with events across the building with private dining and meetings followed by seasonal parties and celebration events later in the year.

On the upcoming partnership, Walter Hand, facilities manager for the RCS comments, “We are delighted to have Searcys on board. From the outset, we were impressed by the quality and finesse of the food offer, as well as Searcys’ experience in managing and marketing large venues. We look forward to working with the team and developing our meetings and events at the venue.”

Commenting on the appointment, Searcys managing director, Paul Jackson said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for the hospitality and events industries and this new win is a testament to the hard work and resilience of the team at Searcys. Delivering outstanding hospitality has been at the core of Searcys for over 170 years and we look forward to bringing our expertise, quality, and ethos of providing special moments to the RCS guests. We are happy to be busy again!”

The Royal College of Surgeons of England

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is a professional membership organisation and registered charity that exists to advance patient care. It has been a presence in Lincoln’s Inn Fields at number 41 since 1797, expanding over the following century to 38 – 43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields. The main Barry building is named after the architect, Sir Charles Barry, who would go on to design the Houses of Parliament. It was almost completely rebuilt in the 1950s and 60s, following extensive bomb damage in World War II and since September 2017, a series of major refurbishments have taken place across the building including the new events space, The View, due to open in May 2021. www.rcseng.ac.uk/
