Pop The Corks For World Champagne Day at St Pancras Brasserie And Champagne Bar
7 October 2021In the words of Mark Twain “Too much of anything is bad, but too much Champagne is just right” and what better excuse to pop open a bottle or two than World Champagne Day? To celebrate all things fizz, St Pancras Brasserie and Champagne Bar by Searcys is pulling out all the corks on Friday 22 October, as Europe’s longest Champagne Bar pays tribute to the ultimate tipple with exclusive pours, a tasting trio, and a one-off four-course Lanson dinner.
Synonymous with style and celebration, meet with friends under the iconic St Pancras Champagne bar and raise a glass from your very own booth, complete with a ‘Press for Champagne’ button. For one day only, Champagne aficionados will be able to sample an exclusive pour of the extremely limited edition and exceptional vintage Le Clos Lanson 2006, straight from the private vineyards of Maison Lanson Family.
In the evening, celebrations move into the art-deco brasserie for an intimate Lanson Champagne Dinner. Hosted in the Tasting Room from 6.30pm, guests can enjoy a guided four-course dinner with Champagne pairings. Priced at £99 per person, start with a Colne Valley lamb broth with pearl barley and rosemary, followed by an Octopus Carpaccio with salt & pepper squid and avocado, paired with a glass of Le Green Label Bio-Organic cuvée. For mains, its Searcys own signature Creedy Carver chicken pie, followed by a Passion fruit cheesecake with coconut sorbet and Le White Label Sec to finish.
Can’t make it on the day? There is also a Lanson Champagne Trio, featuring Le Black Réserve, Le Blanc de Blancs and Le Rosé, at the bar throughout October so no one needs to miss out on the action.
Set in the heart of the station, and with the Eurostar on its doorstep, Searcys have made sure the bubbles won’t run dry, with bottles ready for Champagne Day and beyond. Serving over 66,000 glasses across all Searcys restaurants, bars and event spaces since the reopening this summer and offering an extensive list of champagne by the glass, bottle and magnum, there is no better place to celebrate this October. Bookings are now available for the World Champagne Day dinner here.
