Bonfire launches weekend brunches at the Barbican

Art lovers rejoice! Weekends at the Barbican arts centre are now complete as Searcys launch a new Brutally Brilliant Brunch. From 29 February, Bonfire Restaurant and Bar, Searcys’ industrial-chic eatery located on the first floor of the Barbican, will unveil a delectable bottomless brunch menu to feed artsy-hungry diners. Available every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm, guests can dive into a hearty bottomless brunch with unlimited boozy tipples.

Priced at £28 per person (or £26 if pre-booked online), the package includes one main course and 1.5 hours of unlimited drinks from the selected menu. Guests can tuck into an indulgent menu, choosing from hearty breakfast classics, as well as a selection of inventive dishes and Bonfire’s speciality burgers.

Highlights include the Rarebit toastie, served with sticky onions and fried egg; the Crispy buttermilk chicken waffles with bacon and maple syrup; and Blueberry pancakes served with caramelised banana, crème fraiche and maple syrup. For the health-conscious, there is also choices including the aptly named Superfood; a healthy concoction of black rice, quinoa broccoli, black beans, pomegranate and avocado, topped with a poached egg.

Bonfire chefs have also reinvented brunch classics; such as upgrading the humble potato hash to a generous ‘Full Fire’ Potato & beef hash, topped with mushrooms, fried eggs, smoky bacon, signature bonfire beans & brioche toast. For those after a feast, there will also be the Bonfire Burger Breakfast – a 6oz beef patty with tomato, smoky bacon, fried egg & Bonfire relish with skinny fries.

The new Brutally Brilliant brunch will be served with a range of bespoke cocktails, including their signature Bonfire Mary, a classic Bloody Mary with Searcys’ own secret, super spicy relish recipe.
