Searcys has been appointed the new caterers at historic venue THE HAC

British caterer and restauranteur Searcys are announcing a new partnership to provide catering at THE HAC in the City. From 1 March 2019, events and meetings at THE HAC will be catered for by Searcys’ award-winning team. The unique, historic venue in Moorgate is the home of the Honourable Artillery Company, incorporated by Royal Charter in 1537 and the oldest Regiment in the British Army.

The magnificent Georgian mansion is set within a five-acre hidden garden, just a few minutes from Moorgate station. Inside the historic building, Armoury House and the Prince Consort Rooms can accommodate lavish parties of 10 to 700 guests. Outside, the stunning Artillery garden offers the perfect setting for weddings, summer parties and sporting events for up to 5,000 guests.

With Searcys’ commitment to sustainability echoed across its food and drinks menus, the new hospitality packages tailored for the HAC will showcase the seasons and focus on home-grown products. Searcys’ conference and events menus will focus on nutrition and wellbeing, keeping delegates alert and energised for meetings.

The HAC joins a number of other venues in historical properties nationwide, where Searcys’ restaurants, Champagne bars and events spaces are synonymous with excellent hospitality and British heritage. These include St Paul’s Cathedral, Vintners Hall, Blenheim Palace and The Roman Baths. Searcys has a longstanding heritage of innovation and quality and continue to champion their sustainable values across their venues.

The Honourable Artillery Company has an illustrious history and was first recorded in 1537 when Henry VIII granted a charter of incorporation to the ‘Fraternity of Longbows, Crossbows and Handguns” which soon became the Artillery Company. The Honourable Artillery Company is a registered charity with a membership of 2,500 and around 450 active members serving in the Regiment and Special Constabulary association. For 480 years the company has faithfully served the city and the crown.
