Searcys Family Fun Day | Celebrating Our Wonderful Team
20 July 2023This July, Searcys hosted its second Family Funday, a celebration designed to thank our fantastic team members and their families. It gave us all a wonderful opportunity to socialise, unwind, and enjoy. The event took place in the exquisite marquee on the grounds of The Inner Temple, famed for its stunning garden.
Searcys Family Day offered a range of activities and there was something for everyone. Guests (especially little ones) had a blast bouncing around on the bouncy castle and testing their skills with the giant buzzer challenge. Traditional games like coconut shy, cork shooting, and roll-a-penny added a touch of nostalgia, and the surfboard simulation stole the show, immersing participants in an authentic wave-surfing experience—provided they could maintain their balance long enough! Brilliant live entertainment was enjoyed throughout the day, performed by our very own music duo from One Moorgate Place with Ethan Lupyani singing and William Davis on guitar. To commemorate the day, a photo booth and a talented caricature artist were on hand, enabling guests to take home little mementoes.
The theme for the day celebrated Searcys 2023 campaign, ‘The Art of Finesse’, paying tribute to the artistry, creativity and expertise that underpins what our team do everyday, be it the innovative creations of our chefs or the meticulous attention to detail demonstrated by our service teams.
In line with this theme, this year’s event featured art-inspired activities that encouraged guests to bring out their creative sides. Cupcake decoration proved immensely popular as well as face painting which produced queues stretching from noon until 4 pm. Our guests were transformed into a variety of creatures and characters, and we were thrilled to celebrate Ankita Patil from IET London: Savoy Place as the winner of the painting competition, showcasing her talent.
As expected, lunch took centre stage, and at The Inner Temple, we were treated to a delicious menu, created by Searcys chefs headed by Richard Oxley and Robbie Lamb. Highlights included the renowned Inner Temple Burger, a Loaded Hot Dog featuring Louisiana pulled pork or Texan brisket con carne, as well as the refreshing Inner Temple Leaf Salad—perfect for a warm day.
And let’s not forget the grand finale, where we enjoyed an assortment of irresistible desserts. From white chocolate and peach shots, lemon cheesecake pops, and bowls of English strawberries and cream left everyone with a sweet finish to the festivities.
A huge thank you goes to The Inner Temple and all team members involved in making this event such a special day!
