This week on Searcys Insider – Searcys and YCAT partner to celebrate 175 years of history
Did you know that Rossini was equally known for his culinary excellence as well as music? The connection between food and music has never been far apart and this October British caterer Searcys partnered with Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT) for an evening of harmony and gastronomy.
As part of its 175th-anniversary celebrations, the UK’s oldest event caterer Searcys joined forces with one of the UK’s leading classical music charities, YCAT, for a fundraising gala at The Inner Temple in the City.
Bringing together two leaders in the creative industry; top young classical musicians paired with a long-standing innovator in hospitality, the evening blended up-and-coming talent in music and hospitality into a single experience of music and gastronomy.
Taking place in October, the gala raised over £35,000 to support the next generation of musical talent.
Searcys’ partnership with the YCAT as part of the caterer’s £175k charity pledge for 2022. In homage to founder John Searcy, Searcys has committed to raising a target of £175,000 in donations to nominated charities across the year, choosing the Young Classical Artists Trust as one of its charities.
YCAT CEO Alasdair Tait comments, “It was such a privilege for us to partner with Searcys in their special anniversary year and we are so grateful for their immense support of YCAT. The recent gala dinner at Inner Temple was the perfect celebration of wonderful music, food and wine and of course exceptional hospitality, offering us the chance to introduce YCAT’s musicians and our work on their behalf to a new and appreciative audience.”
Searcys Managing Director Paul Jackson comments “We are delighted to be working with the Young Classical Artist Trust as part of Searcys 175th anniversary. Throughout the year, Searcys has pledged to raise £175,000 for charities close to our hearts and communities and we are pleased to be supporting with YCAT as one of our partners. It was excellent to round off a year of celebrations with a fundraising gala dinner at the prestigious Inner Temple.”
