SEARCYS JOINS TOO GOOD TO GO
29 October 2020We are proud to join the fight against the food waste by joining forces with TOO GOOD TO GO, a pioneering app that lists businesses’ unsold food so local diners can find, buy and enjoy it. Since we reopened in late summer, our restaurants saved over 400 meals, preventing more than 100kg of CO2e from being emitted. In our Magic bags are cakes, salads, sandwiches, fruit and drinks from our kitchens at Blenheim Palace, Exbury Gardens, and now the new addition – Saatchi Gallery Brasserie. Our Brasserie has just reached a milestone of saving its 50th meal today.
Paschalis Loucaides, UK Country Manager at Too Good To Go, said: “We’re delighted that Searcys has joined our food waste fighting movement. Through our app, consumers can now rescue an array of tasty treats from going to waste from Searcys at Exbury Gardens, Searcys at The Saatchi Brasserie & Bar, and The Oxfordshire Pantry at Blenheim Palace. By working alongside us, Searcys will ensure their delicious food is enjoyed, while also doing something great for the planet. It’s a win-win.”
