About
Where creativity is found, connections are made and inspiration is at every corner.
Host your event in one of the greatest art galleries in the world.
Bringing people and paintings together, the National Gallery houses over 2,600 works, including many famous paintings, such as van Eyck’s Arnolfini Portrait, Velázquez’s Rokeby Venus, Turner’s Fighting Temeraire and Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. All major traditions of Western European painting are presented, from the artists of late medieval and Renaissance Italy to the French Impressionists.

Locatelli – Whitcomb Room
Just seconds away from the rhythm of the Sainsbury’s wing mezzanine, there is a space that feels quietly removed from everything, as if time slows the moment you step inside. This is Locatelli’s private dining room: a warm setting where long lunches stretch effortlessly into the afternoon, and dinners unfold with a sense of occasion. The simplicity of a beautifully laid table, the hum of the kitchen just out of sight: it’s intimate, but never formal. Designed for up to 24 guests, the room is as suited to celebratory feasts as it is to thoughtful gatherings and discreet meetings, with a screen available when needed. Here, Locatelli’s menus are served generously and seasonally. Open to all, the space is available for lunch and dinner, with evening bookings offered on Fridays and Saturdays. Contact our team for more information and menu options.
