Searcys Wins Coveted Foodservice Caterer of the Year at The Cateys 2025
8 July 2025We are delighted to share that Searcys Managing Director, Paul Jackson, has been awarded the prestigious title of Foodservice Caterer of the Year at The Cateys 2025. Held in partnership with Square, this year’s ceremony took place on Monday 7 July at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London. The event brought together leading figures from across the hospitality sector for an evening dedicated to celebrating outstanding talent and achievement.
As one of the most respected accolades in the industry, The Cateys recognise individuals and businesses that set new benchmarks in service, innovation, and leadership. Winners are nominated and judged by a panel of esteemed peers, making the honour a true mark of excellence and professional recognition.
The judging panel praised Paul Jackson for his long-standing commitment to quality and his deep-rooted values of integrity and consistency. Allister Richards commented: “With a longstanding reputation in the industry, Paul’s achievements with Searcys resonate with a career based on integrity, delivery and quality. An understated, but greatly respected figure.” Similarly, Hannah Horler remarked: “Paul represents what the hospitality industry is all about. His career spans incredible success and growth, back from his time at CH&Co and over the past five years with Searcys. He stood out in terms of growth, people, innovation and giving back.”
This honour marks a fitting milestone in what has been a landmark year for Searcys. The business secured several significant new contracts, including 41 Portland Place and the prestigious Gray’s Inn. Three new venues were also successfully launched: Horizon 22, Surveyors House, and the new Searcys Brasserie and Bar in Westminster. A particularly proud moment came with the opening of our new dining spaces at The National Gallery, delivered in partnership with acclaimed chef Giorgio Locatelli.
Our long-term partnerships also saw renewed commitments, reflecting the trust and value our clients continue to place in us. Notably, contracts were extended at two iconic venues: Bath’s Roman Baths and Pump Room, where we celebrate 25 years of collaboration, and The Barbican, with a remarkable 35-year history of partnership.
Searcys’ unwavering focus on customer service continues to yield outstanding results. In 2024, the business received two TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards and garnered over 14,000 guest reviews, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars—an achievement that speaks volumes about the consistency and excellence of the guest experience.
Our people remain at the heart of our success. Last year, we welcomed 668 new team members, bringing fresh energy and expertise to the business. Equally remarkable is the loyalty within our existing team, with 49 employees having collectively contributed 485 years of service. Many of these colleagues have been with us for between five and forty years, a testament to the supportive and inclusive culture we strive to maintain.
Innovation in events has also been a driving force. In 2024, we launched Searcys Events, a dedicated corporate events service that has since secured catering contracts at five new venues, including Waddesdon Manor, the London Transport Museum, and the Foundling Museum. This new arm of the business enhances our ability to deliver tailored, memorable experiences for our clients.
Another major highlight has been the continued development of the Searcys Series, a curated programme of ticketed events ranging from wine tastings and masterclasses to dining concerts. In 2024 alone, 46 events were hosted under this banner, including the return of our much-loved Bubbly Show. The second and third editions of the show welcomed over 600 guests and achieved a 26% increase in ticket sales in 2025.
This recognition at The Cateys not only honours the leadership of Paul Jackson but also reflects the collective achievements of the entire Searcys team. We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue to elevate the standard of foodservice and hospitality across the UK.
