    ABOUT

    One of the oldest and quality-driven bakers in London, The Bread Factory produces fresh and handmade bread, cakes and pastries daily to all of Searcys venues. They support us with some super-aged sourdoughs, baguettes, burger buns and pastries. It a Royal Warrant holder as Suppliers of Artisan Bakery Goods.

    London leading artisan baker behind The Bread Factory is Gail Stephens, who decided to ‘turn back the clock’ on industrialised baking and bake bread how it should be made – by hand. Using quality ingredients and artisanal methods, the company is still baking the original bread from their conception over 25 years ago, all baked fresh on a daily basis. Their flower comes from Marriages, a miller 40 miles away from London. They have four sourdough starters that are over 25 years old including the Levain de Meule. The other three are San Francisco, Biga and Apple.

    In March 2020, the Bread Factory has donated 3,160 loaves to the elderly, vulnerable and the NHS.

    Gails, the retail arm of The Bread Factory, has a click-and-collect and home-delivery service.
