Sous Chef
Searcys are looking for a Sous Chef to be an integral part in ensuring the smooth running of events during the busy season at Church House, with events up to 700 people.
Located in Westminster, Church House is a Grade II listed, multi-purpose event venue set across three floors and is home to 19 meeting and conference spaces. Part of The Corporation of Church House charity, first established in 1888, the venue is steeped in history with a rich heritage and nota-ble links to royalty and parliament.

Hours: Majority Monday - Friday (with occasional weekends)
Salary: £21.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the food preparation, planning and supervision of the team
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on the day-to-day management of the kitchen and assist with the menu planning and design
- Ensure the brigade is trained in all aspects of the menu, equipment and procedure as required
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the delivery of agreed sales GP margin
- Ensure the site is purchasing correctly in accordance with Company policies
- Waste management
- Overseeing stock control of all sections
- Experience within contract catering and/or event production
- Health and Safety and Food Safety qualifications
- Passion for seasonal food and menu design
- Self motivated, analytical and innovative
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop your team
