Searcys is on the hunt for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join the exceptional team at the prestigious Barber-Surgeons' Hall.

As Sous Chef, you’ll be at the heart of the kitchen—playing a vital role in delivering flawless service and ensuring every aspect of the catering operation runs seamlessly. From leading the brigade to crafting outstanding dishes, this is your chance to make a real impact.

The Sous Chef at the Barber-Surgeons‘ Hall will work hands on for the operational productivity of the kitchen department and its operational standards.

Salary: £45,000

Full time contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure weekly hall menus are developed and improved upon on a regular basis.
  • To oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals and service across Events.
  • To oversee, manage and lead catering functions.
  • To organise sections stock and ingredients, both preparation and stock holding.
  • Keep record of food production volumes, waste, stock holding and food cost concerns.
  • To assist the Executive Chef and Head Chef with future menu creations.
  • To manage and motivate the team.
  • Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
  • Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand.
  • Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
  • Create a professional working environment for the team ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef in Events, Hotels or Restaurants.
