Searcys are looking for a Commis Chef to join the team at the our unique Venue at The Kings Fund. 

Working as Commis Chef for Searcys will require you to be an ambassador for this brand and deliver food that creates lasting memories. You will not only support the Sous/Head Chef in the day to day running of the venue but also act as a mentor to the junior kitchen brigade.

Located just moments from Oxford Street and Regent Street, No.11 Cavendish Square offers spectacularly airy and light event spaces which set a fantastic backdrop for a range of events including meetings and conferences to stylish award dinners and seasonal parties. The venue also benefits from a modern cafe bar which is a perfect space from drop in guests and day visitors.

Job Type: Average of 30 hours per week on a shift system basis

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the senior kitchen team in the day to day running of the operation.
  • Work across all sections of the kitchen and have proficiency in cooking a wide variety of dishes to be served in events and restaurant service
  • To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility.

  • Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
  • Exemplary behaviour in the kitchen, acting as an ambassador within the team.
  • Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
  • Previous experience as Chef de Partie or a Commis Chef wanting to progress in Events, Hotel or high end restaurants.
  • Ability to mentor a team. 
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices.
