Back of House Manager
Searcys have an incredible new opening in the world famous National Gallery this year and are looking for a Back of House Manager to join our new Team.
As a Back of House Manager you will be responsible for managing inventory and stock across all areas of the venue. Being the lead on stock management and logistics, ensuring to reduce waste and maintaining cost control.
You will also lead on compliance and safety, supporting Venue General Manager and Executive Chef to deliver Searcys Health and Safety practices, and keeping the work force and venue safe and compliant.
The National Gallery, located in the heart of London’s iconic Trafalgar Square, houses one of the finest collections of Western European art in the world. As a Back of house Manager you will ensure that all kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, storage, and prep areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and conduct regular health and safety audits, ensuring the team is following proper food handling and cleanliness practices.
You will be the lead on all stock management working as a conduit between operations and the venue.
Job Type: Full Time - Mainly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend, business dependant.
Salary: £38,000
Responsibilities:
- Monitor kitchen inventory, order supplies, and ensure the proper storage of food and ingredients.
Working with the GM and executive chef on purchasing efficiencies.
Fully responsible for the management of accurate stock takes for food, liquor and consumables.
Responsible for the movement of internal goods including equipment and events.
Responsible for the internal requisition process from production and storage.
- Support Executive chef to monitor food costs, waste, and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources and reduce wastage.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, regulations including HACCP.
- Experience in Compliance, Food Safety and Stock Management
- Has experience working to a critical time line
