A Royally Good Jubilee Weekend at Searcys
6 May 2022From a limited-edition Jubilee Afternoon tea inspired by Her Majesty’s most loved dishes to a Royal Champagne masterclass led by an ex-member of the Royal household, toast to the long weekend at Searcys venues this Jubilee.
Jubilee Afternoon Tea at Searcys (various locations) – from 21st May 2022
In homage to Her Majestry, Searcys will be serving up a quintessentially British afternoon tea across our restaurants, from cakes in the sky at The Gherkin to the opulent surrounds of 116 Pall Mall in St James.
To start, enjoy Searcys’ bespoke strawberry and Champagne sorbet, served with a specially-created Jubilee wafer before tucking into savouries of Beetroot cured salmon with pickled fennel, a Coronation chicken rillette with rye tuille, originally created in 1953 for Queen Elizabeth’s coronation banquet and a selection of sandwiches including Searcys smoked salmon and caviar and Devilled egg and mustard cress. Sweet treats include freshly baked scones with lashings of cream and jam alongside Searcys signature Victoria sponge, a fruity Dundee Cake, Queen Elizabeth’s favourite cake for tea-time, a red, white and blue Battenberg, first named in honour of the 1884 marriage of Princess Victoria to Prince Louis of Battenberg, and a Chocolate, cherry and pistachio delice – in homage to Her Majesty’s love of chocolate. Enjoy with a choice of teas or for added sparkle, the newly launched Searcys Selected English Sparkling Wine. For the little ones, the Kids’ Jubilee Afternoon tea will include Queen Elizabeth’s childhood favourite Jam Pennies, delicious miniature raspberry jam sandwiches cut into circles the size of an English penny.
Searcys Jubilee Afternoon Tea will be available from 21st May until 25th June.
