Restaurant Supervisor
Searcys is actively seeking a professional and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to join the Allen & Overy Shearman LLP team. Our Restaurant Supervisor will serve as an ambassador for the brand, delivering exceptional services that foster memorable experiences for clients. The position involves operating within the Front of House in the Restaurant, providing support to the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of the venue. Monday - Friday, Full Time 40 hrs per week
£32K - 34K per annum
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure and develop in a planned manner, the effective management and efficient service of the restaurant areas within Allen & Overy Shearman. To ensure high quality presentation whilst acting within departmental budgetary and policy requirements.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- To assist and implement operating standards for the restaurant.
- To ensure all staff adhere to Company standards, updating as and when required.
- To maintain and carry out efficient administration and co-ordination of the restaurant.
- To ensure that menus are compiled in an appropriate and appealing way and in liaison with the Executive Chef.
- To ensure both food and service standards are monitored within the restaurant and reported to the relevant head of department.
- To ensure that special dietary requirements are notified to the chef and dealt with in an efficient and courteous manner.
- To ensure all company stocks and equipment, including staff uniforms, are controlled and maintained to an appropriate standard.
- To deal effectively and courteously with customer complaints and to report all customer comments to the restaurant management.
- To ensure sufficient food and drink service staff are rostered for duty at all times and that staffing levels the peaks and through of business to maximise utilisation of staff within the area.
- To ensure the training needs of all staff are addressed and regularly assessed and that relevant further training is provided and documented appropriately.
- To ensure staff standards of presentation and appearance whilst on duty.
- To ensure a written "handover" is forwarded to all restaurant management at the end of every shift.
- To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) food safety, Health & safety, fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations.
- Any other reasonable request by management.
- Excellent Supervisory skills and client service skills
- Ability to motivate, support and manage a diverse team
- Familiarity with UK Food, Health and Safety regulations in the food service industry
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
