A Golden Anniversary at 30 Knightsbridge

At Searcys, our heritage is not something we simply look back on, it is something we continue to live every day, through the guests we welcome, the moments we mark and the relationships we build. Many of those relationships span decades, and few have embodied this more beautifully than the golden wedding anniversary we were honoured to host for Ian and Jane at 30 Knightsbridge this January.

Fifty years ago, Searcys had the privilege of catering Ian and Jane’s wedding at this very venue. To welcome them back half a century later, surrounded by their family and closest friends, was deeply moving, a powerful reminder of the role we play in life’s most meaningful milestones.

The evening began with a personal touch that set the tone for the celebration: a perfectly balanced lemon drop martini, prepared to Jane’s own cherished recipe, served alongside a glass of Searcys English sparkling wine.

As guests arrived, signature canapés were passed and stories from 1976 were fondly shared, weaving past and present together in the most elegant way.

A beautifully curated three-course menu followed, designed by our chefs to celebrate both seasonality and timeless sophistication. Thoughtfully paired wines enhanced each dish, while our teams delivered the warm, precise and attentive service that has defined Searcys for more than 175 years.

As the evening drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of joy, gratitude and reflection. To be entrusted once again with such a significant celebration was a true honour. Ian and Jane’s anniversary was more than an event, it was a testament to enduring love, lasting relationships and the power of hospitality to create memories that truly stand the test of time.
