• A new partnership with Alnwick Garden

    Founded in 1847 by John Searcy, the confectioner and chef to the Duke of Northumberland, we have recently been appointed as official caterer for The Alnwick Garden and The Treehouse in Alnwick 180 years later. 

    Now a thriving UK visitor attraction, founded by the Duchess of Northumberland, The Anwick Garden has attracted millions of visitors since it was officially opened in 2001 by The Prince of Wales.

    The Duchess of Northumberland said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Searcys and it is wonderful that they are coming to The Alnwick Garden.  They have a world-renowned reputation for quality, sustainability, and innovation – using locally sourced produce to create a delightful food and beverage offering that fits our vision of The Alnwick Garden and The Treehouse.” 

    Searcys will return to Alnwick Garden in spring 2019, launching a coffee shop and revamped Treehouse and café menus, all celebrating the best of British produce and locally sourced ingredients. With a particular emphasis on value for money, the new menus will offer visitors multiple options, from quality sharing plates to kid’s “pick and mix”.

    As well as the deeply personal connection to The Alnwick Garden, both Searcys and The Alnwick Gardens share the same vision and values in their respective businesses.  With a strong connection to the community, Searcys plans to hire local apprentices and work closely with The Garden’s education, community and schools programmes for an exciting schedule of activations, including cookery lessons for local schoolchildren.
