Searcys has launched a brand-new retail bakery and revamped Pavilion café and Treehouse restaurant offer at Alnwick Garden. Whilst not forgetting Searcys brand-new series of hospitality packages for events that take place within Alnwick Garden. Provenance is highly important to us, and we endeavour to source our ingredients as locally as possible. Our menus reflect a combination of firm favourites together with regional signature dishes.

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Sous Chef to oversee the Treehouse restaurant operation, reporting directly to the Executive Chef, and supporting the wider team as and when required across the other kitchens.
The Treehouse restaurant seats 80 covers, and our menu is a call order that changes seasonally. In addition to this we also cater for private functions and weddings. We operate lunch service from 12noon 7 days a week and an evening service from 6pm Wednesday to Saturday. During our peak season over the summer holidays, we open on Mondays and Tuesday evenings too. The Chef brigade consists of approximately 9 across CDP’s, Commis, Apprentice Chefs and Kitchen Porters.
As a Senior Sous Chef joining us, you will be a highly motivated and professional Chef, who has quality experience of working as a Sous Chef within a well-established restaurant/brasserie.
Quality, presentation and service is at the core of our team, and we never settle for anything but the very best in what we do. Your responsibilities will include supporting the team with rotas, stocks, GPs, creating our wonderful food dishes to spec, food safety, training and development of our junior Chefs etc.
