Searcys are currently recruiting for a Sales and Marketing Manager to join the team at Vintners Hall. Vintner’s Hall is enjoyed by members of the Worshipful Company of Vintners’ and is the spiritual home of the wine trade!
The Livery Hall is a magnificent venue right in the heart of the City of London, which is perfect for business meetings, celebratory dinners, weddings to name a few, whilst not forgetting wine tasting events.
This is a wonderful opportunity to have a varied yet full role as you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the event, sales and marketing operations. Event knowledge, organisation and leadership is required in this role to ensure that we achieve top line sales and budgets for this prestigious venue.
Success in the role will be achieved through;
- Identify new business opportunities via industry research and networking
·Proactively growing and developing relationships with prospective and existing key accounts
·Accurate business reports and understanding of where we can increase revenue
·Effectively raise Searcys profile via appropriate marketing channels; so that we are seen as a key venue
· Design, plan and deliver the venues marketing plan, with support from the central marketing team
·Attending organised events to engage with clients. Eg: open days, exhibitions, displays etc.
·Ensure all marketing and sales collateral is in line with the venues sales strategy
·Create quality proposals for our clients – social, wedding, corporate and livery markets
·Prepare function sheets and liaise with the relevant departments ahead of the events
· Support operationally some of the key events that take place at the hall
· Co-ordinate and manage invoicing and payment for the events
This is an opportunity which would be ideal for candidates who are looking to step up into a management role, or perhaps for somebody who is looking for a new opportunity within a smaller venue to provide more flexibility/structured working hours.
The successful candidate will have;
- Previous experience of building a pipeline of new business
·Previous experience of managing a team is desirable
·Strong commercial and financial awareness
·Previous experience of working within an events, sales and marketing role for an events/venue company is desirable
·Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
·Able to adapt their approach and style dependant on who they are liaising with
·Natural flair for networking, self-driven and enthusiastic about success in their role
