Job Description

St Paul’s Cathedral is at the very heart of our nation’s culture and is one of the most famous and most recognisable sights of London.

We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to work with the Head Chef to manage our catering operation at St Paul’s Cathedral, which consists of a Retail Café that serves freshly made hot and cold food options and our restaurant (The Tearoom) that serves delicious afternoon tea!

As Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in implementing and maintaining strong processes within the kitchen operation, to ensure that everything from quality, cleanliness, budgets, process and compliance is managed effectively and efficiently.

The ideal candidate for this role will have had experience as a Sous Chef from a strong catering contract background. Experience within a retail offer is also desirable. In addition to this, you will be passionate about creating fresh, seasonal and quality food to a high standard – both culinary and presentation. You will also have financial understanding of profit margins, purchasing, budgets and food costs.
