Searcys are the longest-running independent catering company in Britain and continue to set the standards for excellence in hospitality. We manage bars, restaurants, hotels and events at venues across London in prestigious locations such as; the Barbican Centre, the Gherkin and St Paul’s Cathedral to name a few, in addition to venues located outside of London such as The Assembly Rooms and Pump Room in Bath and Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.

Reporting to the Head Of People and Managing Director, we are looking to recruit an Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of Searcys Farringdon support office. In addition to this, the Office Manager will provide PA support to the Managing Director and facilitate the training calendar for the business.

As part of the Office Manager role, day-to-day responsibilities will include the following:

PA Responsibilities:

  • Diary management for Managing Director
  • Expense Management
  • Organising travel for MD and other exec members on an adhoc basis
  • Liaison with internal and external groups

Office Management:

  • To ensure the smooth running of the Farringdon Support office
  • To manage third party suppliers such as cleaning & facilities companies and office landlord
  • Monitor costs and budgets related to office upkeep
  • To maintain office supplies – stationery, refreshments and equipment
  • To embed office protocols around clean desk policy and standards
  • To provide a reception service to external visitors – including answering incoming calls and greeting visitors
  • Ensuring new starters have access to the building, appropriate equipment & and understand office procedures
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Manages health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office
  • Identify improvements to running of the office


  • Manage the training calendar on behalf of the L&D Manager and the Head of Health and Food Safety:
    • Room bookings
    • Monitor and maximise course attendance
    • Send joining instructions and pre course work in a timely manner
    • Ensure trainers have attendee list
    • Post training certificate and surveys are sent and monitored
    • Supporting the L&D manager and Head of Health and Food Safety with course organisation – booking of delegates, joining instructions, updating systems, room set up and obtaining feedback
    • Supporting L&D related projects as required


  • Keeping venue contact lists up to date
  • To ensure distribution lists are accurate to ensure
  • Arrange company comms forums such as General Managers bi-annual updates
  • To support MD and other Exec members with presentations
