Weston Park is an independent Charitable Trust, which is set among 1,000 acres of landscaped parkland, which is rich in history, and has an internationally important art collection, alongside all the grandeur you would expect from a stately home, with a modern outlook.

Searcys operations team are delighted to confirm that we have been appointed as the new caterers at Weston Park. The catering and hospitality operation includes lavish events catered for within the main house, which has 28 bedrooms available, a destination offer for the local market within The Granary Grill restaurant, where we will offer a classic British relaxed dining offer and a bakery, which will offer guests savoury pastries, open deli style sandwiches, soup, artisan coffee and teas and our signature bakery table which will offer cakes and sweet pastries.

Searcys was founded in 1847 by John Searcy, making us the longest serving independent food service provider in the UK. We operate a number of very exciting venues such as Blenheim Palace, Historic Bath, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Gherkin.

We are currently looking to recruit a General Manager, who has previous experience of managing a sought after events venue. Quality and innovation are two fundamental attributes we are looking for from the successful role holder.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following experience as a General Manager:
• Proven experience in running a commercial catering contract as a General Manager, from a prestigious or historical events/wedding venue
• Experience of managing a commercial contract that includes restaurant, retail and events that has had a quality food and service offering is highly desirable
• Knowledge of competitors within Shropshire/Cheshire/Midlands is desirable to ensure that we are ahead of market trends, and exceed expectations at all times
• Experience in operating a large multi-faceted venue
• Experience of leading a large team across front of house and back of house operations
• Demonstrable experience of improving standards and service within a commercial catering contract
• Previous management of client relationships on site is desirable
