The Barbican is Europe’s largest multi arts centre and Searcys are delighted to be the sole caterer for events that take place across this impressive and iconic London venue. The Barbican has a range of auditoria, rooms and spaces that can be hired for a wide variety of events, from conferences, AGMs, photoshoots and product launches to meetings, receptions and weddings.

We have a number of great opportunities available for casual Event Supervisors to join the team and support our events team on a casual basis.

We are holding a recruitment day on Friday 1st February, to invite people along to see the event space and meet some of the team to discuss our opportunities.

What do we look for in our Event Supervisors?

  • Previous experience of leading events/function
  • Genuine passion to deliver exceptional service
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

The Events team at the Barbican consistently deliver, and they achieve this through clear planning and preparation. As a key role in the Events team you will be working alongside the Events/Sales and wider management team, attending the events meetings to run through plans, responsible for checking briefing/service sheets, liaising with the back of house and kitchen teams and ensure you have the right people at the right time throughout the events.

It is important that candidates are fully flexible concerning their working days/hours as our events do range across daytime and evening events.
