As a trainee Sommelier you will assist the management team in ensuring that guests are provided with an efficient, courteous and personalised service at all times.

The role holder must have good knowledge of wine and beverages in general, as well as being able to sell effectively to achieve budget targets, confidence and effective communication is an essential to success.

Qualification:

·Ideally WSET level 1 and 2

Key Responsibilities:

·To maintain a high standard & professionalism, personal appearance and presentation

·Ensure that first impressions given to guests provide a positive, welcoming and professional reflection of the restaurant function, our business and brand.

·To provide excellent and efficient wine service

·Customer orientated /positive “can do attitude”

·Confident and enthusiastic approach

·Exceptional attention to detail

·To communicate all changes to wine list to operations manager for staff briefing.

·Maintain and develop good relations with wine suppliers.

·Proactive selling of beverages at functions and events.

·Keep up to date with current wine trends
