We are recruiting for a Head Pastry Chef to work with us at our exclusive members bar, lounge and restaurant within The Gherkin.

2. What we are looking for

  • 3 years’ experience working as a Head Pastry Chef within a fine dining establishment
  • Knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques and nutrition
  • Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making and or a relevant field
  • Proven ability in kitchen management and use of management systems
  • Health and Safety and Food Safety qualifications
  • Hard working and motivated
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ambitious
  • Team Player

3. Job role expectations

  • To lead and manage the preparation and service of all pastry goods
  • To adhere to health and safety food regulations
  • To attend compulsory food safety and health and safety courses when required
  • To prepare goods in a timely and efficient manner
  • To monitor stocks for baking ingredients and ensure orders are within appropriate budget
  • Ensures the storage of products are properly maintained
  • To prepare food as assigned on a daily/weekly manner
  • To ensure all menus are made to company specification
  • To identify recruitment needs
