We are now recruiting for an experienced Event Manager to join our team at The Barbican.

2. What are we looking for

  • A well-presented individual with at least 2-3 years Event management experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Your aim will be to organise events from inception to the completion, in the most efficient and cost-effective way, while ensuring the event has the desired ‘wow factor’.
  • You will be required to work with our head of events and alongside our full time events team liaising on each event ensuring all every detail is delivered to the highest standard.
  • An outstanding communicator who is able to quickly build rapport and establish a strong relationship with customers, colleagues and the client
  • Has excellent listening and questioning skills and is able to professionally present creative and innovative solutions which meets the customers’ requirements
  • A customer service professional who takes pride in ‘delighting’ Searcys Customers
    Works flexibly and is able to multi-task to deliver events on time, within budget, that meet (and wherever possible exceed) the customers’ expectations
  • Project Manages events, setting, communicating and maintaining timelines, budgets and priorities for each project, appropriately and proactively escalating issues to the senior team.
    Managing operational and administrative functions to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
  • Is a team player, providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the team for each event
  • Assists senior manager in supervision of staff with responsibility for hiring, discipline, performance reviews and training
  • A Strong background in event organisation and event operations, attention to detail is essential, the ability to deal with clients and flexibility of planning and a passion for food & beverage service.
